Lincoln Police arrested a man with 5 active arrest warrants after he drove drunk to a local convenience store and caused a disturbance.

LPD said on Thursday around 2 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance at the Kwik Shop near 5900 Fremont Street.

An employee told police a man pulled into the gas station, parked at the pumps and entered the store.

The man caused a disturbance, police said, and was eventually contacted by officers in the area.

The suspect, Ruon Chuol, 22, refused to provide identification and appeared intoxicated, LPD said.

Officers tried to detain Chuol to conduct a DUI investigation, and he became aggressive toward and refused to be handcuffed, police said.

Eventually, he was taken into custody, and officers learned he had five active arrest warrants and a suspended license.

Chuol was arrested for DUI – 2nd offense, refusal of a chemical test, refusal of a preliminary test, driving while revoked, and obstructing a peace officer.
