Lam is an ex-child soldier who has become one of the biggest Eastern African Musicians. Lam Tungwar Kueigwong, popularly known as ‘Lam’ is a former child soldier who served the Southern Sudan military from age 7 to 9 years old. After dropping his gun, and fleeing to Kenya on foot for about a month days, he opted for an education and ultimate a career in music as a way to deal with the negative experiences as a child soldier.
