Salva Kiir meets Board of Directors of the National Investment and Development Bank, NIDBANK.

His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit had a meeting in his Office with the Board of Directors of the National Investment and Development Bank, NIDBANK.

The purpose of their visit was to officially invite H.E. the President to the official launch of the Investment Bank.

During the meeting, The Bank’s Board of Directors explained in detail to H.E. the President how NIDBANK will combine the roles of a national investment and development banking, bilateral development bank and microfinance institution, community development financial institution with a combination of revolving loan fund.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dr. Lual Achuek Deng, the Deputy Chairperson of the Board, explained in detail that NIDBANK will play a vital role in financing private and public sector investments, for the sole purpose of development.

In emergent nations, Governments often use investment development banks to support their nationwide economic aid development initiatives. NIDBANK Bank is dedicated to helping companies invest, they specialize in creating an environment in South Sudan for social responsible investing and impact investing.

NIDBANK’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Lalatenda Das appreciated the government for this unique opportunity to meet and share the bank’s aspirations for South Sudan with H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit. Mr. Lalatenda assured the bank would champion investment and development in the young nation. He further described the importance of how this institution focuses on building sustainable investment portfolios, which is a new venture for the Republic of South Sudan.
